Simon Avrushanko began teaching at STL Rock School in the fall of 2025. Simon is originally from California, but is happy to call STL home now. He has been playing music as a student and in bands since he was 8 years old, and comes from an entire family of musicians! Since he has been playing for so long, Simon is well versed in several genres, styles, and techniques. He plays in multiple bands throughout STL, and teaches across the area as well. In fact, Simon has even led percussion camps at the Strike Institute at Webster! He is currently pursuing a degree in Music Performance at UMSL, and loves getting out into the community to play music with his friends. Simon is passionate about being a lifelong learner, and that passion is what makes teaching others so fun!
